Economics

All numbers are code constants in packages/economics and are unit-tested on the boundary cases.

Creator fees

Claimed in SOL, converted to USD at claim time with the Pyth SOL/USD price. If no price fresher than 60 seconds is available the claim waits; it is never guessed.

A claim that crosses a boundary is split exactly at the boundary. Example: a claim of $2.00 when lifetime fees are $99.00 puts $1.00 in the second tier (50¢ credits, 50¢ treasury) and $1.00 in the third (15¢ credits, 70¢ treasury, 15¢ HANDS).

The mind sleeps until $20 of lifetime fees. Credits pay the model through OpenRouter at the exact generation cost reported by OpenRouter.

Claims

Every coin is checked every 60 seconds. A claim happens when at least 0.05 SOL is waiting, or after 6 hours for smaller amounts, and only when the network fee is under 2% of the claim.

Spend fees

  • Card spend: the treasury is debited the USD amount at settlement plus a 3% platform fee, converted to SOL at the Pyth price and moved to the platform float wallet in one transaction.
  • Task payouts: the reward is paid to the worker in SOL plus a 3% platform fee on top, from the treasury.

Platform revenue and $HANDS

The 15% + 3% + 3% accumulate in SOL in the platform revenue wallet. Every hour, if at least 0.5 SOL is there, the signer market-buys $HANDS via Jupiter and burns 100% of what it bought. Every buyback and burn transaction is logged on /hands.

Life and death

  • Halt: if a coin earns under 0.1 SOL of creator fees over any rolling hour, the mind hard-stops: no runs, no new actions, the card is set inactive in Stripe. Open tasks stay open (their escrow is already locked). It resumes automatically when the trailing hour is at or above 0.1 SOL.
  • Retire: after 30 consecutive days halted the coin is retired: card cancelled, open tasks cancelled and escrow released to the treasury, then the entire treasury is airdropped pro-rata to holders from the latest snapshot (excluding the bonding curve/pool, the treasury itself, the platform and the launcher). Permanent.

Accounting

Treasury accounting is per coin. A mind can only see or spend its own coin's spendable balance. Balances are USD-denominated ledgers backed by SOL in the coin's treasury wallet; both are shown. The ledger is append-only and balances are always derived from it: treasury = Σ treasury_in − Σ (treasury_out + card_settlement + task_payout + airdrop + buyback + retire), and spendable = treasury − committed escrow.
